We need an energetic, full time candidate to join our tight-knit wholesale packing department in Bermondsey.

The successful applicant will play a key role in the intake of our cheeses, their handling & storage, & their onward sale to our shops & markets & our trade customers across the UK.

As a Wholesale Cheesemonger & Packer your responsibilities will include:

  • Picking & packing orders for dispatch to our Retail sites and wholesale customers across the UK
  • Checking in cheese and other consumables according to our company HACCP plan
  • Assisting with the care and maturation of our cheeses
  • Adhering to strict health and safety procedures and maintain exact quality assurance standards
  • Daily supervision of the tasks at hand; working to established checklists and jobsheets

The successful candidate will be:

  • Organised, precise and proud to work as part of a team
  • Of a logistical mindset that enjoys working efficiently within established systems
  • Adaptable to take on varying methods of dispatch across a week
  • Fit, strong & able to embrace the highly physical and practical nature of warehouse work
  • Rigourous in maintaining a clean and hygienic space
  • A clear and concise communicator.

Applicants will be considered highly favourably if they have:

  • A full, clean UK driving licence
  • Previous work in food distribution & packing
  • Experience with Inventory Management Softwares
  • Experience with cheese & a HUGE love of it!

Starting salary: £27,000+ (depending on experience)
