Lachaud Pickled Onions

Location: Dordogne, France

The Conserverie Lachaud is a family run business established in 1965 by André Lachaud. It is now into its third generation, overseen by André’s granddaughter Audrey.  The first preserves made by the family were cornichons grown on André’s family plot & with their success, the business & expanding range of produce was born.

These roundly flavoured silverskin onions are made with a crisp & sweetly tangy vinegar that bring out their equal balance of freshness & piquancy. They provide a lovely contrast to a sweeter cheese like Comte or Gruyere, work excellently with Raclettes & Fondue but are sufficiently versatile to sit easily alongside most of our hard cheeses & our British blues.
