Made at the Société Laitière de Vichy outside Creuzier le Neuf, this is a gentle flavoured Raclette which we are buying while restrictions prevent us importing our Raclette Au Lait Cru.

The Société makes cheese on a reasonably large scale, boasting quite a repertoire of different cheeses using cow’s, goat’s and sheep’s milk, but it is still family owned.

Their raclette melts beautifully to be scraped over potatoes but its milky and subtle flavour also works well as a table cheese.
