Since then, we've built a close, collaborative relationship with Huguenin Fromages, who carefully source and mature some of the most impressive examples of Swiss cheese available in the UK. As part of this partnership, we travel to Switzerland twice a year to grade and select wheels for the seasons ahead.

As temperatures drop and the gentle scent of woodsmoke fills the air, autumn is when the bold yet comforting flavours of these cheeses really come into their own. Expect Gruyère AOP, L'Etivaz and seasonal favourite, Vacherin Mont d'Or, to all make an appearance.

Over the course of two hours, we'll taste and discuss our way through a selection of five cheeses, accompanied by several glasses of Swiss wine and some carefully chosen accoutrements.

The evening will be hosted by Laurence, our Retail Manager, Josh, our Shop Manager, and Jacob, Swiss cheese enthusiast and fellow traveller on our recent Jura trip.

Bring a warm jumper (the shop can be a little chilly), an appetite and prepare yourself for a hearty tasting experience.
