Domaine Les Sablonnettes are one of the great winemakers in the Loire Valley’s natural wine scene known for their dry whites and reds as well as this Coteau de Layon style sweet Chenin Blanc. The vines are 25 to 30 years old and the sweetness is intensified by them showing the beginning signs of botrytis at harvest.
The only sweet wine we do, this has richness and a honeyed, rounded character but is still elegant with some acidity to lift it. Pairs well with most cheeses but has a particular affinity with blues for the flavour combination of salty and sweet. Try it with Roquefort or Colston Bassett Stilton.
