Ice Cider – Burrow Hill

 Location: Somerset, England

A totally unique product from Burrow Hill Farm in Somerset. Ice Cider is the product of freezing apple juice before the fermentation process starts, removing water this way concentrates the sugars and flavours. Velvety tannins and an unctuous, nectar-like texture are met with a welcome acidity. Notes of nutmeg, cloves and mace lend the cider warmth and sit beautifully alongside deeper flavours of baked apples and raisins.

Quite simply the Temperley’s Ice Cider is a dream combination with cheese. Though it’ll work best with a couple of British favourites - Sparkenhoe Red Leicester or Colston Bassett Stilton – it is pretty hard to go wrong with this one.
